Her collegiate career began at the University of Richmond, where she competed from 2016–2021 and became one of the most decorated players in program history. She was named A-10 Rookie of the Year, earned two Atlantic 10 Championships, was A-10 Championship MVP, and became a 2× Tewaaraton Award Finalist. She also served on the team’s Senior Leadership Council, reinforcing her commitment to culture and accountability. Sam earned her Bachelor of Arts from Richmond.

After five years at the University of Richmond, Sam chose to challenge herself at the highest level of collegiate competition by transferring to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to pursue her graduate degree at the Hussman School of Media and Journalism while competing for the UNC Women’s Lacrosse program. In her first season with the Tar Heels, she helped lead the team to a National Championship in 2022 and was named NCAA Tournament MVP. Following that championship run, Sam returned the next season as a Graduate Assistant Coach under legendary head coach Jenny Levy while completing the second year of her graduate degree. Transitioning immediately from player to coach within one of the premier programs in the country further reflects her competitive mindset, leadership maturity, and deep understanding of the game at the highest level.

Professionally, Sam competed for three seasons in Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse, gaining invaluable experience in a player-led, elite competitive environment. She currently competes with the California Palms in the Women’s Lacrosse League, where she serves as Co-Captain for the 2026 WLL Championship Series tournament.

On the international stage, Sam represents and captains the Argentina Women's National Lacrosse Team. Since joining the program in May 2023, she has helped elevate Argentina’s presence on the global stage, leading the team to a Bronze Medal at the 2025 PALA Sixes Championship. She is currently preparing to compete in the 2026 World Championships in Tokyo, Japan, continuing her commitment to growing the game internationally and representing Argentina at the highest level of competition.

As an athlete, captain, coach, and mentor, Sam’s purpose remains consistent: to elevate the women’s game while building confident, resilient young women prepared to lead in sport and in life.
